Elementary

The Elementary School journey not only builds upon our members foundational academic skills and communication, but it also teaches them to how to open college saving account.

Field Journeys

Field Journeys are designed to offer members meaningful cultural, social, and community-building experiences. These trips allow young people to connect, play, and reflect while engaging in enriching activities throughout the year. Each journey is intentionally tied to The Academy Group's mission of whole-child development.

Summer Programming

Summer Programming features a robust mix of academic acceleration, business development, enrichment, and fitness, all rooted in wealth generation. Students explored ventures like Science in a Snap, piano, food trucks, lemonade stands, and art with spray paint. Whether shopping for ingredients at Whole Foods or completing creative projects, participants experienced a dynamic summer of learning and growth.

PPP Simulation Series

The Pre-Professional Pathways (PPP) Simulation Series connects students with professionals across industries including STEM, Finance, Healthcare, Consulting, and Entrepreneurship. Partners such as BMO Harris Bank, Advocate Health, and GI Stone led engaging simulations that brought real-world career experiences to life. These sessions inspire and prepare students for future professional pursuits.

The Middle School journey introduces unparalleled academic opportunities through innovative seminars and even teaches them how to start their own business.

Nicaragua Service Trip

In June 2024, The Academy Group partnered with 'buildOn' for a service trip to the Jinotega region of Nicaragua. Membaers collaborated with local community members and youth to break ground on a new school, replacing a 20-year-old structure severely damaged by weather. The project deepened students' global awareness and commitment to service through hands-on work and cultural exchange.

Alpine Valley Ski Trip

The annual Alpine Valley Resort Ski Trip introduces 8th grade members to skiing—many for the first time. This tradition aims to provide access to new and exhilarating experiences that broaden students' horizons. It is a celebration of courage, discovery, and joyful learning outside the classroom.

Chicago High School Fair

The Chicago Academy hosted its second annual high school fair for middle school members. This event provided an exciting opportunity for students to explore a variety of high school options and determine the best fit for their future.

Fall 2024 College Tour

College tours are offered locally beginning in 8th grade and nationally beginning in 9th grade. Members are highly encouraged to maximize these free trips to learn more about the types of institutions where they might apply. Highlighted above is our Fall national Tour to Philadelphia where students visited the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Villanova University, and Drexel University.

College Dinner Fall of 2024

Members join our fall and spring dinners to meet with 10-20 college representatives. These dinners help students understand the admissions process and criteria and network with leaders from those institutions. Highlighted above is our Fall Dinner where 14 colleges engaged with our high school students.

SY25 Campus Care Visits

The objective of our Campus Care Visits is to check-in (Care Check) with AG students and allow them a space to connect with AG staff and each other in a safe and informal way on or around their college campus.
