Systems Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW

To further support its mission and operations, The Academy Group seeks a Systems and Hardware Administrator who has an appetite for technical and professional development. The Administrator will play an integral role in managing The Academy Group’s technology resources within a robust, educational, fast-growing organization.

 

The ideal candidate is highly adaptable and eager to meet and exceed the needs of our rapidly expanding organization, with exceptional communication, project management skills, as well as innovative thinking. He/she will join a talented, passionate, diverse, and innovative group of individuals who embody The Academy Group’s core values: excellence, determination, and justice. The Administrator will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement program-wide technology solutions with schools and site management
  • Maintain access and function of corporate technology systems and software including but not limited to websites and enterprise software in a scalable and organized process; maintain master passwords securely and manage staff assignments
  • Guide roll out of enterprise software and ensure adoption across organization
  • Provide technical training to teams and serve as a technical mentor to team
  • Manage onboarding for all staff access to hardware and software
  • Manage offboarding for all staff by developing and implementing scalable processes that ensure security of organization hardware and data systems
  • Supervise partner service providers to deliver exceptional and timely tech support to all staff and ensure staff tech is fully functional
  • Maintain log of required repairs, maintenance and licensing & security requirements
  • Configure and deploy student laptops and Chromebooks for AG students; design and manage distribution systems to maintain security and troubleshoot student issues
  • Establish technology related procedures, policies, compliance and documentation requirements across project phases in support of organizational scaling
  • Support program team in utilizing technology and data to provide top tier service; assist in creating vision for technology platforms; assist in data entry
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources and support accounting team to ensure accurate audits of all resources
  • Research current and potential resources, services and software for improve enterprise function and make purchase recommendations
  • Ensure daily function of corporate networks and networked devices
  • Provide direction and expertise in design, development and systems integration
  • Manage technology progress and deployment with the organization

Additional shared responsibilities

  • Collaboration and communication with various teams as needed
  • Contribute and attend regular meetings with all necessary programming staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in Information Technology field
  • Track record in running technology and managing corporate software a plus
